One bad thing about not having a storm cellar or solid home

That one was a few miles away

now one more about 30 miles away in small town Mena, AR

tornados today, snow tomorrow...crazy !

sitting in the dark listening to dogs huffing and puffing..

best thing we have going is small mountain to the SW of our place and so far (knock on all the wood) it has pushed storms either West or East

Arkansas seems to be a tornado alley at times. Searcy, Bald Knob, Newport, etc. always seem
to get bad weather on a regular basis.

Are you close to any of those towns?

Closest “big” town is Clarksville...

2nd one went past without tornado forming so that should be last super cell to be concerned

Guess I will check out basketball scores to get my mind on something else

Found the path this morning...it was a little over 2 miles West of me:smoking:

Plenty of tin in the fields, caught in barb wire fence, wrapped around trees, etc

several telephone poles down so no powerface)(*^%

have fireplace I could crawl in I guess if I kicked wife and dogs out, and since it’s outside hope the 3 MASSIVE OAK TREES don’t fall on it

i pretty much accept the fact if it hits me I’ll probably end up in the lake since it’s only about 30 yds away

tornado's only decimate a narrow strip of land. have to be very unlucky to be in one's path. usually seek out trailer parks for easier total destruction.

Not many tornadoes up here in the Northeast. I thank God for that.
